The youths now decide to split up: Por and Ta go off into the jungle to find Panor, leaving Kim and Tair sitting exterior the shrine, with Tair (now free of possession) nonetheless seeing visions of corpses. She panics and runs off, and Kim follows into the dense jungle. The boys hear Kim fall down.
